Who do you work with?

Mostly small and medium-sized businesses and their owners in Markham and across the GTA. We also prepare personal tax returns, including for self-employed people and professionals.

What should I bring to our first meeting?

Whatever you have is a good start: your most recent tax returns and notices of assessment, recent bank statements, and any letters from the CRA. If your books are behind, don’t worry. You don’t need a perfect package to begin.

How much do your services cost?

It depends on what you need. A personal return, monthly bookkeeping and a corporate year-end are very different jobs. After a short conversation about your situation, we’ll explain the scope and the fee before any work begins.

I’m behind on my taxes. Can you still help?

Yes. We’ll work out which returns and filings are outstanding, whether personal, corporate, HST or payroll, and help you get caught up in the right order. The sooner you reach out, the more options you usually have.

I got a letter from the CRA. What should I do?

Don’t ignore it, and keep any deadline it mentions in mind. Send us a copy and we’ll help you understand what it’s asking for and how to respond. Kushal can communicate with the CRA on your behalf once you’ve authorized him to act as your representative.

Can you handle both my corporate and personal taxes?

Yes. For business owners it often makes sense, because how you pay yourself through salary or dividends affects both returns. You’re also welcome to use us for just one.

Do you work with QuickBooks?

Yes. Kushal is a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor. We can set up QuickBooks for you, clean up an existing file or work in the file you already have.

Do I need to come to your office?

Not necessarily. Our office is at 100 Allstate Parkway, Suite 803, in Markham, and you’re welcome to meet in person. A lot of the day-to-day work can also be done remotely with cloud accounting tools.
